GoHighLevel Zapier integration: the LeadConnector app, its triggers and actions, and agency limits

Last materially reviewed 2026-10-03

Quick answerGoHighLevel connects to Zapier through an app named LeadConnector. Its listing shows one trigger and five actions, and each connection covers a single sub-account.

GoHighLevel connects to Zapier through the LeadConnector app

GoHighLevel integrates with Zapier through a connector app called LeadConnector, not an app named HighLevel. HighLevel's help center calls LeadConnector the official, white-labeled HighLevel connection. You sign in with your normal CRM login, pick one sub-account, and Zaps can then read from or write to that client's account. No API key is needed for the standard connection.

For an agency the key fact is scope. A connection belongs to one sub-account, so ten clients means ten LeadConnector connections in Zapier, each chosen deliberately inside the Zap.

Triggers and actions on the LeadConnector Zapier listing

LeadConnector events shown on its Zapier listing, read on 3 October 2026
EventTypeWhat it does
Pipeline Stage ChangedTrigger, instantStarts a Zap when an opportunity's pipeline stage is updated
Add/Update ContactActionCreates a contact or updates an existing one
Add/Update OpportunityActionCreates or updates an opportunity in a chosen pipeline and stage
Add Lead to WorkflowActionAdds a lead to an existing workflow by workflow ID
Stop All Workflows for LeadActionStops every workflow running for a lead
Add TaskActionAdds a task with a title, description and optional due date

That is one trigger and five actions. The same listing's help text mentions other triggers, such as a new contact or a tag being added, but they do not appear in the event list we read, so treat the table as the confirmed set. Zapier's listing says custom fields are supported.

When you need a trigger the app lacks, HighLevel's own route is a workflow. Build the trigger inside a HighLevel workflow, add the Webhook action, and send the data to a Zapier catch-hook URL. Data can also flow the other way into an Inbound Webhook workflow trigger.

Plan needed on each side

The HighLevel articles we read do not name a minimum HighLevel plan for the LeadConnector connection. The pricing page lists API access among core features and does not mention Zapier. That pricing page lists basic API access first under Unlimited; HighLevel's API help article says Starter also has it, and both put advanced API access on Agency Pro. Confirm this on a Starter account before you promise it to a client.

On the Zapier side, the listing advertises a free tier and does not flag LeadConnector as a premium app. Webhooks are different. HighLevel's guide states that Zapier webhooks are not included in Zapier's free plan. Inside HighLevel, the Inbound Webhook is a premium workflow trigger, and premium triggers and actions are listed at $0.01 per execution, as read on 3 October 2026. Our GoHighLevel vs Zapier page compares the two automation tools directly.

Setup steps for one client sub-account

  1. Log in to Zapier and click Create, then Zaps.
  2. Click the Trigger block and choose LeadConnector.
  3. Pick a trigger event, for example Pipeline Stage Changed.
  4. In the Account section, click Sign In.
  5. Enter your HighLevel email and password on the LeadConnector login screen.
  6. Select the sub-account to connect.
  7. Check that LeadConnector now appears under Accounts in the Zap.

To use a second client, add another LeadConnector connection and select that sub-account, then switch the account used in the Zap. To remove access, open App Connections in Zapier, open the three-dot menu next to LeadConnector and choose Delete. Deleting a connection removes it from every Zap that uses it, so check which Zaps depend on it first.

Known limits for agencies

  • One sub-account per connection. There is no agency-wide connection in the standard flow.
  • No sub-account creation. HighLevel says the LeadConnector action for adding an account was deprecated on 21 February 2022. Creating sub-accounts through Zapier now needs webhooks, an agency API key and the Agency Pro plan.
  • The name is not yours. Clients who open Zapier see LeadConnector. HighLevel sells a Whitelabel Zap with agency branding for $50 a month.
  • Support is limited. HighLevel states its support team does not service the API or custom Zapier integrations.
  • Tags are text. The contact action takes tags as one comma-separated string.

An agency that needs many triggers or two-way syncing will outgrow this app quickly. The alternative is the HighLevel API with a workflow tool that can call it, such as the HighLevel node in n8n described in our n8n integration guide.

What to check after the Zap is live

  • Open the Zap and confirm the LeadConnector account shown is the right client. A Zap pointed at the wrong sub-account writes contacts into another client's CRM.
  • Run a test record and find it in that sub-account, with tags, source and pipeline stage filled as expected.
  • If the Zap adds leads to a workflow, confirm the workflow ID belongs to the same sub-account. Workflows loaded from a snapshot exist separately in each account.
  • Watch for duplicate contacts on the first live runs, since the contact action both adds and updates.
