The GoHighLevel plan an agency needs
For an agency with four or more clients, GoHighLevel means the Unlimited plan at $297 a month. Starter at $97 a month is capped at 3 sub-accounts, and each client normally gets its own sub-account, so the fourth client forces the upgrade. Agency Pro at $497 a month adds SaaS Mode and usage markup, which only matters if you plan to resell the platform under your own name.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Sub-accounts | What it adds for an agency |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $97 | $970 | 3 | Unlimited contacts and users, all core features |
| Unlimited | $297 | $2,970 | Unlimited | Rebilling of phone and email at cost. The pricing page lists basic API access first under Unlimited; HighLevel's API help article says Starter also has it |
| Agency Pro | $497 | $4,970 | Unlimited | SaaS Mode, automated sub-account creation, rebilling with markup, user and agent reporting, advanced API access |
| Enterprise | Not published | Not published | Not published | White-label mobile app and HIPAA compliance included, dedicated success manager |
Every plan has a 14-day trial and runs month to month. Contacts and team users are unlimited on all three published plans, so headcount does not change the bill. The pricing page describes the gap between Starter and Unlimited as mainly the number of sub-accounts.
The agency job and the features that serve it
An agency has to keep each client's contacts, pipelines, calendars and automations apart, set new clients up quickly, and decide who pays for texts and calls. Three parts of the product do that work.
- Sub-accounts. One workspace per client, managed from a single agency view.
- Snapshots. A saved copy of a sub-account's workflows, funnels, forms and calendars that you load into the next client. See what a snapshot contains.
- Rebilling and the wallet. Usage is charged to the agency wallet first, then passed to the client if rebilling is on.
Branding sits on top of these. The pricing page says the desktop web app can be white-labeled so clients see your logo at login. The details and the paid mobile app are in our guide to GoHighLevel white label.
Worked monthly cost for an agency with 10 clients
Ten clients means ten sub-accounts, so the plan is Unlimited. The usage below is an assumption chosen to show the math, priced at HighLevel's published US rates. Swap in your own volumes.
| Line | Per client | 10 clients |
|---|---|---|
| 1 local phone number at $1.15 | $1.15 | $11.50 |
| 1,000 outbound SMS segments at $0.00747 | $7.47 | $74.70 |
| 2,000 emails at $0.675 per 1,000 | $1.35 | $13.50 |
| 100 outbound call minutes at $0.0166 | $1.66 | $16.60 |
| Usage subtotal | $11.63 | $116.30 |
| Unlimited plan | $297.00 | |
| Total before carrier fees and registration | $413.30 |
Two items sit outside that total. Mobile carriers add a per-message surcharge on SMS, listed at $0.0035 to $0.0050 per outbound text depending on the carrier, so roughly $3.50 to $5.00 more per 1,000 texts. Each client that sends texts from a local number also needs A2P registration: the low-volume tier is listed at a $22.50 one-time fee plus $1.50 to $10.50 a month per campaign.
Rebilling: who ends up paying the usage
On Unlimited you can rebill phone and email at cost. In the example, the $116.30 of usage moves to the clients' wallets and your own cost falls back to $297, or $29.70 per client. HighLevel still charges the agency wallet first, so a client whose card fails leaves you carrying the charge. Our page on wallet exposure explains that risk.
Agency Pro lets you add a markup. If you charged clients double the cost of the example usage, they would pay $232.60 and you would keep $116.30, which does not cover the extra $200 a month over Unlimited by itself. The plan earns its price when you also sell subscriptions through SaaS Mode. One more detail: with rebilling on, HighLevel applies a fixed 5% markup at the sub-account level to pass-through charges such as carrier fees and A2P registration.
The limit that matters, and when another tool fits better
A limit an agency should budget for is per-sub-account pricing on add-ons. The AI Employee plans are listed at $50 or $97 a month per sub-account, WhatsApp at $10, online listings at $30 and SEO at $79. Switch one on for all 10 clients and it multiplies by ten.
GoHighLevel suits an agency that runs lead capture, follow-up texting, calls and funnels for local business clients. It is the wrong shape for a design or content agency that mainly needs a client portal for requests, proofing and billing. That agency should look at ManyRequests, whose Core plan was listed at $59 a month on the same date. We compare the two in HighLevel vs ManyRequests.
